LOUDOUN LODGES

Loudoun Lodges are essentially a caravan or mobile home with the added benefit of being built to the highest specification, similar to a new build home, using quality materials and finishes offering a choice of design opportunities both externally and internally to achieve a totally individual look. With a variety of possible uses from permanent low cost living accommodation to a granny flat, garden room or additional living space for when family and friends come to visit, Loudoun Lodges offer a modern alternative to a static caravan with an opportunity to increase your existing living space substantially while maintaining the quality and convenience of a modern home.

Build Specification

Our lodges are built on a heavy duty galvanised steel chassis or can, alternatively, be built on to a traditional concrete foundation.
You can choose from either a 1 /2 bedroom single unit or a 2 / 3 bedroom double unit which also has increased living space.
FLOOR
C24 145 x 45 structural timber floor joists, 100mm sheet insulation covered with 18mm plywood .
WALLS
C16 145 x 45 Timber frame construction with 9mm OSB to outer face covered with breathable building paper, 50 x 25 vertical battens with 50 x 25 horizontal battens ready for external cladding. 100mm sheet insulation Recticel or similar in between studs with vapour barrier then 12mm MDF to inner face.
ROOF
C24 145 x 45 structural timber, 100mm sheet insulation covered with 18mm OSB and Permaroof EPDM. Marley deepflow guttering and downpipes.
EXTERIOR CLADDING
20 x 142 Siberian Larch – alternative cladding options are available.
WINDOWS AND EXTERNAL DOORS
uPVC frames with double glazed units offering a u value of 1.6.
KITCHEN
Choose from a range of high quality units and appliances.
BATHROOM
Shower tray and glazed enclosure, power shower, vanity unit and hand basin, close coupled WC.
  • PLANNING:

    Planning and Building Warrant requirements differ depending upon where the Lodge is to be sited and its planned use. We can offer general guidance and contact information in order to ensure you have the correct permissions in place.
  • SUSTAINABILITY:

    We have endeavoured to use materials from sustainable sources and to this end we have ensured, where possible, that our timber suppliers comply with the requirements for FSC Chain of Custody Certification.
